How the Google SERP works The SERP is the acronym for "Search Engine Results Page" and represents the pages shown by a search engine as a response to a user query. It all starts with Googlebot which scans the web by inserting pages that can be indexed into its archives. This content constitutes the archive of potential answers to questions from people online. When users type searches, Google returns one or more pages of results, depending on the number of indexed contents that respond to the users' typed queries ( queries ). Google defines the ranking by analyzing the intent of the searches typed and ordering the available contents according to its own criteria ( ranking factors ), to provide results in decreasing order of relevance. The results that Google will return to us will be different if the terms used are professional or amateur.
The number of results obtained will also be different and Telegram Number probably there will not be the same sites on the first page. For this reason, during the provision of SEO services , it is necessary to define contents aimed at two different targets : Professional Target; Amateur Target. The SERP will inform us about their needs, their way of speaking, their online presence, we will only have to adapt the SEO strategy and consultancy to this information . Furthermore, Google takes into account different factors for each search query , in order to produce lists of contents suited to the needs of each request. This makes it difficult to compare the order of SERP results in different circumstances, because each of them is influenced by different factors.
The evolution of SERPs to date The Google results page has not remained unchanged and has undergone many changes over time to better respond to the needs of the public. This leads to periodically redefining the SERPs both by changing the order of the results (the so-called positioning on Google ) and by implementing new elements useful to people. Over the years, we have moved from pages consisting only of text results (ads and websites) to pages with elements such as images, videos, featured boxes with response previews, podcasts, etc. The evolution of SERPs , still ongoing, has also seen the position and format of advertisements redefined: over the years they have changed colour, size and arrangement to conform to the characteristics of the page. How Google's SERP is structured after Universal Search Today the search engine results page is called Universal Search and is constantly changing due to the tests performed by Google. Universal Search can be defined as a process of integration of results , which represented a very important change.
